Passion for learning should never fade away. My medium blogs are all the content on Instagram I publish. I was stumbling everyday hoping for a wider reach for my content and even after using some trending hashtags, it didn’t quite reach my “non-followers”.

Reached only 12 accounts after using major hashtags

I was just posting screenshots from my blogs and nothing. I have 161 followers right now and my posts got around 40 likes only with no sharing and comments. It made me do-over things with my content. So, I decided to make my first Instagram reel and the results I got were much much better! See for yourself!

After posting my first reel on 19th December, these were the insights I got. My first reel has reached 1762 people across the Internet till now. I noticed a drastic change in my insights, you too can see the difference between 12 and 1762!! My reel also got more than 50 likes and some of them were “non-followers” which means the content is reaching the audience, where it should. Also note that it is just the beginning. Consistency is the key. It takes a second for people to swipe to the next creator and you need to make consistent swipe-stopping content to stay in business. It’s easy if you crack the code. We’ll discuss the code someday.

Reel’s Deal

I realized what type of content audience likes. As a creator, you should create content that people could engage with. For example, my reel was something people could engage with, show their skills and more. I asked my fellow followers to Sell Me a Pencil and in the end, I told them that the best idea would be pinned in the comments section.

I got pretty good results for my first reel. People shared their insightful ideas and they were able to engage with the content. Engagement is everything, folks! For a beginner, reaching a wider audience and having 1000 views is a big deal, but for the pros, your prize isn’t your number of views but actually number of shares and engagement. Bland content is never appreciated by the audience even if the content is appreciable. What makes it bland is the way you present it. Present your ideas to the people, give them the engagement opportunities and make yourself share-worthy and follow-worthy.

You’ve got to deepen your insights to change those Insights
