Are you planning to give an Entrance Exam?
If you have completed your schooling or studying right now and you are preparing to give an entrance exam after class 12th, then you have clicked on the right blog. I’ll be sharing my experience of entrance exam and all the do’s and don’ts during the preparation of it. Trust me, it will come handy.
IPMAT INDORE
It was May when I came across IPMAT. I didn’t even hear about it until then. I read about it, took other people’s advice about it and filled out the registration form. I had around 2 months to prepare for it. Mathematics has always been my bitter enemy and it was one of the subjects in the syllabus of IPMAT and the other one was English. Inside, I knew I didn’t have much time for the preparation but I didn’t make myself believe that. You become what you think.
I started preparing for the exam and gave as many as mock tests as I could. There was less time so I wasn’t able to cover sufficient syllabus. The main purpose behind giving this exam was to have a taste of competition if you’re giving your entrance exams for the first time. I didn’t clear the exam but I now knew what the real world throws at you and how much there is to explore.
Things you should do that I did and didn’t
- Make yourself clear about your wants. Prepare for what you aspire for.
- Learn how to manage time. That’s the first baby step towards clearing an entrance exam and actually studying management throughout your college life.
- Clear out negative thoughts. Positivity is much needed to maintain a healthy state of mind.
- Focus on scoring 59% of 60 and not 60% of 100.
- Study the exam before studying for the exam. This is really important. Know what you will face.
- Most importantly, mocks! Attempt as many as you can.
- Treat an entrance exam like any other mock.
- Treat a mock like an entrance exam.
- Keep aside your distractions during your preparation. It should not hinder the process.
Entrance exams are a piece of cake once you have a grasp of important things. Thousands of students give IPMAT every year but not many learn from their mistakes. Make sure you’re the one even if you clear it.
